HMS Ajax & River Plate Veterans Association

As part of the 40th Anniversary celebrations of the HMS Ajax Frigate’s visit to the Town of Ajax dignitaries and veterans assembled at Veteran’s Point Gardens in Ajax on Friday 26th August 2016 to unveil the Historic Memorial Wall featuring over 4,500 names honouring veterans who served at The Battle of the River Plate in HM Ships Ajax, Achilles or Exeter, those who served in HMS Ajax during WW11 and those who were part of the 8th HMS Ajax Frigate crew when it visited Lake Ontario in 1976.

The Memorial Wall List spreadsheet contains all the names that appear on the Wall in five worksheets as above.

If you were in HMS Ajax at the time of the Canada visit in August 1976 and your name does not appear on the list or is incorrect or incomplete please contact the Association and we shall pass on details to Ajax.
